Privacy Policy

OtakuPress does not ask you to create an account and does not sell personal information.

What we process

Site preferences. Your browser stores your theme choice and basic, anonymous reading statistics (pages viewed, searches) in local storage. This stays on your device.

Performance and reliability telemetry. We record anonymous events such as page views, page-load performance (Core Web Vitals), and whether ad scripts loaded or failed. Events carry a random per-tab session identifier, the page path, device class and approximate country derived from your IP address by our host. We do not store your IP address in these events.

Advertising.OtakuPress is funded by advertising from Monetag. When ads load, Monetag and its partners receive standard request information (such as IP address, browser type and the page URL) and may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure and limit the frequency of ads. Their processing is governed by Monetag's own privacy policy.

Push notifications. If you choose to allow notifications, a service worker from our advertising partner delivers them. You can revoke this at any time in your browser's site settings.

Infrastructure. The site is served by Vercel and Cloudflare, which process request data (including IP address) to deliver pages and protect the service, and Cloudflare provides aggregate web analytics. Cover images load from AniList and MyAnimeList servers, which receive standard request data.

Your choices

You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser at any time, block notifications, or use an ad blocker; the site remains fully readable either way.
